Roger Ebert, Famed Movie Critic, Dead

Awful. This man was truly the greatest movie critic of our time- unlike most movie critics, he rated it from the target audience's perspective rather than acting as a bias machine. Witty, intelligent, master critic.

It's sad to see him gone; someone who's been such a staple of the movie industry seems immortal, doesn't he?
I remember finding out about this in the newspaper yesterday. It took a while for the fact to sink in, but it was still a shock. Not a few months earlier, I read some of his old reviews and referred to his website for any movies I was curious about seeing.

He'll definitely be missed.

Wow. I didn't even know. R.I.P, Roger Ebert. He'll be remembered.
That's too bad.

But I don't know him as a person, really.

I know him as a movie critic.

He lies outside my Monkeysphere.

I don't know him, but goodbye semi-famous movie critic :(
It must Suck when someone that everybody loves dies.
Excuse me for a bit.

Who's Roger Ebert?

It sucks that he died, but really...

You guys only seem to like him because of his job.

Don't you think that's a bit... superficial?

It was his personality that made his performance so great. Being a critic is a person thing, and he was excellent.

Every job that requires creativity will always tap into the creativity of the person with the job. And the thing about one person's creativity is that no one else has it.
Not everyone is a critic, and some critics shine brighter than others in the hearts of men. Roger Ebert was one of the brighter ones, because his creativity was easily recognizable. It is the creativity that is expressed by his unique and equally fantastic person that we are naught to let go of easily; little difference would be made in terms of our mourning if he was creative in, say, music instead of writing.

I'm certain the above response will be misunderstood, but that's the best I can put it at the moment. Forgive me if you will.
