Mario Must Die 2 (Final stage for realz, no lie)

Stage 3.
A little bit of trivia about this level:

This was what I was originally planning for the feeding Yoshi segment right after the midway point, but I decided it would be way too hard for anything in the first half of this hack. In fact, this may be the kind of difficulty I would expect in the final level (stage 10). Not only do you have to control 3 separate entities with the d pad, but you also have to align them in such a formation that Yoshi can eat all 3 quick enough to grow into adult Yoshi, and you also have to not let the Metroid touch you and you also have to keep the Metroid from being eaten. Still, I managed to beat this part, but only once. Even if I decide to include some kind of incarnation of this segment, the difficulty would have to be toned down such that it's still extremely challenging but still fun (take out the Metroid).

The current set-up is still fairly difficult but much easier than what it was before.

What I Say:Nice gimmicks used on Stage 3, especially the uses of Metroids. Pretty clever uses...

I'm going out of order for a little bit to show you a teaser for one of the rooms in stage 5.
You can ignore the random crap on the right side. Also, I plan on changing the palette. You need both P-Switches when you go through the yellow pipe (see the upper left). You start on the lower left, right next to the pit.

Well, this error message I got when I made a test recording of Forty Tens inspired me to make an egregiously evil move. If you thought you hated Metroids and Phantos, wait till you meet Dopefish! He works just like the Dopefish from Keen 4: swims back and forth, and if you approach him, he will chase you, always level with you horizontally, until he eats you in one gulp! I will add one to every level in this hack because right now it's too easy.

A concept I was thinking about including, but I have not fully tested it yet. You need that Disco shell.

I think I have found a vanilla way to require the player to collect all 5 Dragon coins (you'll see). Will be for the first half.

Springboard glitch. I have adjusted the palette to look more eerie.

Also, every level will now use a port of "you have to eat your vegetables" from Keen 4 as its custom music. The levels I already made, I will go back and change their custom music to "you have to eat your vegetables."

Yes. I've no idea how to make one into a custom sprite, tho I think a Dopefish custom sprite would be killer.

You prolly knew this already but that last update will not really include Dopefish, but other than that, the screens are legit.

Right before the boss is some kind of puzzle.

What do you think? I am not too confident in my graphics drawing abilities. Supposed to be Osama bin Laden (may include a vanilla cutscene sometime before this part just to give some BG information. I'm thinking about this hack having more of a plot than MMD1 but is still an excuse plot). I will prolly also include lightning.
Should I stick with the original Mouser graphics or get someone who's better at graphics to make him look more like Bin Laden, or a third option?

I think you should change the Mouser graphics some because the original Bin Laden doesn't have any tail. But it's up to you I guess.

Strange as it sounds, I can't seem to get rid of that couple of stray pixels no matter how hard I try.

I was finally unlazy enough to insert the other version of the teleport sprite, the one that doesn't play the fanfare, allowing me to use an actual Kaizo trap at the end of Ripley's Aquarium as well as letting the music continue.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if I remember all the specs of what I wanted before but I think it's pretty close.

Possibly the last set of stage 4 (maybe 5 also) screens before the video.

Some Adrenaline Rush inspiration, but not copying myself. I can't seem to agree on a palette.

Some Wet Dry Ruins inspiration, where I take advantage of item memory with the "coin gates" and the P-Switch. Please note the time limit.

A harder version of that one disco shell segment in "Keep Moving." Burn the Koopas to feed a baby Yoshi, but you only have 3 things to feed him with, plus the disco shell, which you will need right after this. Of course, you also have to NOT DIE. This was originally going to be used in Fiscal Cliff but I decided "What the Shell?" would be a better fit.

Dang it, why did I forget to fill in the cement blocks? Anywayz, bounce on the sliding springboard past the Fuzzies.

Actually you'll need it to burn a Chuck blocking a pipe, but then I have to design the following section(s) so flying under would not work.
This is one such puzzle inspired by TAS breaks that can be done in real time.
Stage 5 has at least one P-Switch puzzle inspired by a break sotel found in Cool or Cruel Gnarly.

It seems that the new ideas/puzzles of vanilla things are limiting themselves over time, and whenever I see parts of your hacks it reminds me that there are still clever ideas out there to be found.

Your hack is very inspiring to me because of that ^^.
