Useful GameShark Codes

Since there was no thread about that and I was encouraged and kindly invited to create an new one for that:

This is for GameShark codes that may be useful for other hacks :

Koopa speed with first track ( used in BOB ):
812FD21A XXXX ( XXXX is a float ) default = 4080, suggested = 4180;

Koopa speed with second track ( used in THI ):
812FD21A XXXX ( XXXX is a float ) default = 40C0, suggested = 4100;

King Bob-Omb "running" speed :
812A74DA XXXX ( XXXX is a float ) default = 4040, suggested = 40C0;
( but you can go much higher if you want ;)

King Bob-Omb rotation speed :
812A74FA XXXX ( XXXX is an integer ) default = 0100, suggested = 0500;
( not exactly what I would call easy with 0500 btw )

King Bob-Omb "health" :
812A72DA XXXX ( XXXX is an integer ) default = 0003, what I chose = 0006;

King Bob-Omb throwing strength :
812A723A XXXX ( XXXX is a float ) default = 4248, suggested = 42A8;
( but don't be shy to crank it up if you want ;)

These codes are all from me except for the last one which is from James Stuart aka Yoshiman/Yoshielectron ( in his code the value was as high as 437A which is high like crazy ).

Excuse me? WTF do you mean by that? I just looked for all the codes through Google labeled as "Viper codes" because i didn't know what you intended to say...

When I post stuff, its not because I have polled the whole Internet because I don't know all the people working and the sites on this topic.

Now I've read the whole list of these code and it happened that only one of them was already discovered by Viper ( King Bob-Omb's health ) and its not even coded the same way as me at all. And even if it was, I still discovered all of them with only the help of VL-tone's document on behaviors and the checksum area disassembly.

Anyway, if my Big Bob's health code is demonstrated to intersect on the territory of discovery your friend "Viper" tell him I'm sorry, sincerely, and I will remove that particular one of mine.

The codes I posted were NOT stolen.

You can't really steal gameshark codes, and these type of codes in particular are pretty "unstealable" since no one can take ownership of something that is preset in the rom and just changing the value, perhaps ownership of actually getting the area and making a gameshark format of it.

Either way all of these codes come from AntiGSC, Viper as far as know, published a lot of different codes as well as made renegrade64. That's why I refer to them as vipers, whoever that may be as I have never communicated with him but have found use of a lot of work he has floating around the interwebs.

Who knows who made them. I just assume viper did but he stated specifically that many of the codes from gameshark to action replay, are by several different people. For sm64 in specific these codes appear to probably be made by like 3 or 4 different people, the site has the basic codes smif or whoever provided in pj64 cheat file, and the site has codes from gs centeral thats made by different people, and some made for older gameshark versions.

There is no real way to tell who did what, so It's best to just say where you got them from, and I believe this thread implies antiGSC which viper still pays for and owns i think. So I guess we give credit to him.

They're all from me ( except the throwing strength of Big Bob-Omb which I clearly stated was from James Stuart! )

Upon acheiving the first level of my first hack, I wanted a much better King Bob-Omb, faster Koopa and Bullet Bills, etc. So I put my mind into ASM hacking of SM64 and I pretty much figured out how to change what I wanted to change.

Now these particular changes will certainly be useful to someone who don't dare to ASM hack like I did or don't want to spend that much time in figuring out how to achieve it.

I understand that what I did can takes a lot of time, so in the perspective of not being an ass, I shared what I discovered, also hoping that some other people would do the same and may eventually share something that will be useful to me and make me save time too!

I also have some basic -but sufficient- knowledge of how GameShark coding works so I turned my discoveries into GS codes that I build MYSELF.

Except for the one from James S., they come from me, get it?

I never said your codes we're on the site as well, but I implied it apparently. You're couple of gameshark codes are not on the specific site we're talking about b it doesn't matter. You wanted a thread for gameshark code,
