This hack looks awesome, but I have to ask, what is going on in the second screenshot? There's white blocks and gray ground which I find kind of bland, is there pending graphics or something?
I don't even know what I'm actually doing anymore... will I ever finish a hack?
In my opinion this looks like a quite enjoyable Hack right now... I like the gfx-style and your Level-Design seems extremely promising! I would really love to see a Video to know how it works ingame (Or some time even a Demo ;)), but right now it´s something I am looking forward to! :)

I like what I see so far, aesthetically speaking, specially on the first and fourth screenshoots. Not that I liked all of them, though.

I can't really judge the entire levels by only a few screenshoots, but I've quite noticed that, at least over the places you took pictures, enemies lack. Specially on the second, third and fourth screens. It's okay to leave areas of the level or maybe even a room filled only by statues, that's a neat gimmick actually, but I hope you haven't filled the entire level with only them. They spit fire and all, but they aren't as challenging as, say, jumping parakoopas. The second screen has just no enemies at all, although I don't really understand the point of that level (might be a creative color gimmick?).

There's something that disturbs me on the fifth screenshoots: the vine platforms. They're so tiny, how do they hold platforms like that? o_O I also don't know how the top bushes' behavior is like, but I don't think you could make that work out well. :/ I'd go by vines in front of above normal mushroom platforms to replace them, but that's just a random idea.

Well, I can't fairly comment on anything else since there's not much to see, but I'm looking forward to this! Aesthetics seem promissing.
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?

It looks pretty nice, especially your overworld, but I think the second screenshot looks awful, not gonna lie. Others may think differently. If the FG was black against a white background it may look nicer. Then again, I don't know your intentions. Keep it up!
I can't tell very much about the castle since there's no much to see...

As for the OW, I like it! Don't worry, that doesn't count as a blatant edit. I barely could recognise that as Yoshi's Island; I like the "nether island" idea you used there. Just don't base all your overworlds on that and you're good!

The castle seems extremely is great!
Amazing layout by JackTheSpades
Looking good so far, though I'm concerned about the nets that are one tile wide, or one tile high. Those nets might be difficult to grab onto unless you make them act like a vine tile through MAP16. Doing that would make it lose all the properties of the climbing net, and I've never tried using that particular set up with net Koopa on vine before, though it could still work.
Another thing I'd like to mention:

Quote

The koopas' hands can't barely touch the nets in many parts of their courses and it looks a bit weird. I reccomend increasing the net's length. That will also be less annoying to the player to try to climb on them.

Looks nice otherwise; it's a very simple but apparently nicely-made vanilla hack. Keep it up!
