Hello, and welcome to the SMWC racing thread. This thread it here so that we can organize races of various games and hacks. Now what exactly is a race I am speaking of? Here is an example of what I mean, a SMB3 race.
Something Awful has been running races like these for the past year or so now. Having watched some of them, and having attempted a few with friends, they are pretty fun to do. I want to try setting some up with this community. You can see more examples at this guy's channel.
As a first attempt, I think it is only fitting that we try the original Super Mario World before going at any hacks or other games. A full playthrough would take a long time and I think we should aim for no longer than an hour and a half at the most. If more than a reasonable amount of people want to participant in one race (10+) we will just split it into two groups. It is also very likely races will get multiple groups anyways, if only because of timezones to make it easier for anyone.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask or to send me a PM!
-Please send an example video here for quality assurance
