Super Mario 64: Shining Stars (Major Rom Hack) FINAL RELEASE

Hi everyone, I am making a hack of super mario 64. This is to have 151 stars and a new look for mario.

Story:
Bowser has stolen the Grand Shining Star from the dangerous stronghold known as the Sun. Mario finds out about it, and goes after him. When he arrives at the Solar Fortress of Bowser, he tells Mario of his plan to use the Grand Shining Star's power of attracting dangerous elements like lava to turn all of Mushroom Kingdom into his personal lava bath. Mario tries to fight, but gets thrown back to his planet where he lands in New Shine City. Unsurprisingly, there are portals that take him to different areas of the mushroom kingdom where the shining stars are. Once he gets enough shining stars he can face off with Bowser again to get the grand shining star.

This hack is planned to have 1 central hub, like the original SM64 castle.I am changing mario's color to white and black to signify him as the protector of the shining stars. There will be some recognizable parts of SM64 levels, due to Bowser adding lava to different places in Mushroom Kingdom. Magma Mountains will have parts of Tall Tall Mountain in it. Other parts from SM64 haven't been decided yet, but will be.

I Like your levels, as especially Piranha Plant Garden look very orginal. But I don't think 7 stars will fit in these level. You should expand them. But they look very good.

I have another question. I textured my levels and used the Wall/Fence setting for my walls, but for some reason mario gets stuck in them or goes through them completely. Anyone know how i can fix it?

If you want to know about current progress, the models for the 5 courses for the demo are finished. I have to add objects in now. I just finished the first Bowser level model. Now i am working on the hub and two of the secret levels. If everything goes as planned, the demo will be ready near the end of march! I will probably preview a level or 2 and the hub in the next week or two.

Hi there! I don't really have a big update today, because i left my flash drive with shining stars somewhere, but i will get it back sometime this week. I will do a preview later on of Bowser's tower of Terror and maybe Chomp Fields or Piranha Plant gardens.

Hi everyone! I have a problem, but first, here is the "shining star".
Shining star

My problem is with the texturing and collision. A few posts ago, i asked why he went through the walls on wall/fence. I took a few snapshots of what happens from both the white and purple sides.

Purple side:Purple side

White to Purple side:white to purple

When mario goes on the white side, he goes through the wall. When he is in the blue side, he gets stuck in the wall and cannot get out. Can someone help?

EDIT: I could not get the image thing to work, so the links are above.

I'll try to help: Did you export both faces in the model? Only export textured front faces or back faces. Also, is there a floor in between the walls? If so, you're gonna have collision issues #ab{:P}

Never use the Purple side for anything, they make the collisions very glichy so texture on the white side only.
