Salvete, omnes, this is imamelia, also known as TheMartianGeek...I mean, hello, everyone. As you may or may not know, I do LPs. I started in October 2010, and I guess it's been kind of weird. There are a few other videos on my channel that I don't really think count as LPs, such as my trial run of Touhou 8, my showing off/playthrough of Another World's Chaos, the various ASM and music showoff videos, the "interesting things in video games" showoff videos, etc. I'm just putting these out there for feedback and comments, and most of all, just to show that they're out there.

You started in October 2013?! You're from the future?

Typo aside, I'm more or less interested in watching the Mega Man and Touhou videos.
Great LPs ima! Hope I can see more in the future, also, can you accept LP requests later? Just asking...

where's the virus with the shock porn :(

I remember I watched some of your Mickey's Magical Quest videos earlier, since I also really liked that game, I found them pretty entertaining. Keep it up! #ab{:)}
Dang it...why the heck did I type 2013? I meant October 2010.

About requests: Depends on the game. I might consider it, especially if it's one that I'd planned to do eventually anyway.

About collaborative projects: I haven't tried, but yeah, I'd be interested in something like that, though any races would have to be done at a very particular time, since I usually have fairly small possible windows when I can record. Netplaying is a possibility, though I refuse to use ZSNES. I've also wanted to do a 2-player LP of Goof Troop with my brother once he gets back home, though I'm not sure how I'd record both of our voices at once.

About individual games: Well, the Mega Man 2 thing was my first LP, after all. I'll get around to playing it on the harder difficulty (they should be called Easy and Normal rather than Normal and Difficult if you ask me) eventually. I've only made one video of a Touhou game, though I also showed off Another World's Chaos in a different one (only the first three stages because that's all there were). I kind of suck at danmaku games, though oddly, less than I do at more traditional side-scrolling arcade shooters.

In any case, I'm glad you like my LPs. Expect more of them to come.

You have a great personality and anyone who wants to spend a good afternoon should definitely set it to begin watching imamelia's LPs.

Well, I finished my Mega Man X4 LP. I probably won't start my next project for another two or three weeks at least, though, because it's getting close to the end of the school year and I might not have the time.

I must ask, though...does anyone know of a capture card that records footage directly from the TV? All the ones I've looked at so far seem to require being connected to the console, which is fine for a Wii U or PS3 or something, but I doubt it would work with, say, the Nintendo 64. I want something that would be able to record whatever is on the screen no matter where it comes from.

Very late reply, but...

This may be due to the fact that in danmaku games, your hitbox is normally right in the center, and nowhere else you can get hurt. Traditional side-scrolling arcade shooters on the other hand, makes it so you must avoid any part of you getting hit.

And in terms of a capture card, unfortunately I have no clue of one, but for the N64, I use an emulator.
I just updated the first post (for the second time since the last post, actually) with some new links. I'm sure hoping this Zelda blind run will turn out okay...

Also, I've been looking at this capture card for recording stuff off consoles. I'd have gotten one already if I weren't worried about spending the money, because the local electronics store actually has them and I went there a few weeks ago. It supports component video, which means it should be able to handle RCA as well...though actually, I don't see the traditional component cable plugins on there, so maybe that's not what I thought it was after all.

Not really. All I said was "the last giant battle", and all that really gives away is that the game has giant battles and that there is more than one of them. I deliberately tried to avoid mentioning any details of it.

I'd say you should try to continue plazing the Minish Cap game. I managed to get through dungeon 1 on my first try.
Another thing: I can't to see that SMW hacking-related video. Will it come this week?
Well, I've finally started on a new project. Took me long enough...I explained what the deal was here. That video also has a question or two for the audience, so I'd appreciate it if you guys would check it out.

I've now started a few others as well, including my first co-op LP.

Also, I actually decided to try text commentary for once.

Well, I have some bad news...I think I might have to quit doing this. This time really. And not (entirely) because no one actually watches my videos, but because my audio hardware just will not cooperate. I recently got a new microphone and headphones hoping that they would improve the sound quality. The former, at least, seems to be marginally better, but it also made my voice really quiet. And neither of my screen recorders would record the next game I was going to do without cutting off a bit of the intro screen and its music. Well, I finally figured out a way to make the microphone loud enough and just decided to deal with missing a couple seconds of the startup screen...and then I found out that the new microphone still picks up keyboard and mouse noise, which was one of the main reasons I wanted to upgrade in the first place. What a complete waste of $102.78. So unless anyone thinks it would be worth doing post-production commentary (which I generally don't find as entertaining, except maybe if it's PinkKittyRose), that might be my last LP ever. I suppose it was a decent run...saves me having to spend money for a capture card for some other games I wanted to do...*sigh*...
