Yeah, I took a completely fresh file and deleted all old files.

Secondly, I don't think we're using the correct midway bars yet.

Oh! Silly me. Completely overlooked the fact that Midway Points from the patch aren't the same as regular Midway Points. I guess I'll have to wait for the next base then because I can't test without the correct Midway Points.

Anyways, that doesn't explain the first problem with one of the coins not showing up (and as I said: yeah, I'm using a fresh file and deleted the old SRM file). My guess is that Lightvayne accidently used some free RAM that wasn't really free.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!

Yeah, the midway patch is inserted, but hasn't been applied to the levels yet. MDP is currently working on that and from what I understand, they are working perfectly.

Also the coins are working fine on my end and for everyone else...not sure why the one isn't showing up for you :|

Now that's weird. I also checked the ROM with the clean ROM verifier and it's definitely a clean ROM. I didn't apply any of my patches yet, either. Just took the IPS file and applied it to a clean ROM. :/

Apparently it has to do with how the different emulators initialize SRAM(source: the error occurs in bsnes, but not snes9x)
This is very weird, since the SRAMExpand patch is supposed to set all the desired SRAM the values to 00 upon new game. There's probably a small error somewhere in the code. I'll see what I can do.

Edit: Okay so the error occurs on the latest base, but not the previous "full" version of the rom that I have o_O
The coins for me kinda work. The first coin is forever "outlined", the other two are okay. The SMWCP coins in the HUB still don't appear properly though.
Yeah, the first coin is already collected in every level (I've played only the first world thought).

Other than that, it works fine.

That explains it. I usually just use ZSNES for testing (unless doing something more complex with the hardware) because it's associated with SMC files on my PC.

- Now moved to LM 2.10
- A fixed SRAMEapand patch now applied. Everything should be in working order for you RPG Hacker ;)
- Fixed Refined Factory's and Coaster Calamity's background, appearently neather of these users know how to claim map16 tiles for their backgrounds >8( You're welcome :P (MDP no need to wrry about these 2 level, I'll take care of them for the midway points)

I've been having the same SMWC coin issue (ZSNES's fault it appears) and can confirm it's gone now.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Considering that I somehow managed to overwrite my progress with the checkpoint tiles, I'll need to start over from scratch anyway.

Umm... for some reason whenever I attempt to go to the intro level, I just get a black screen with music playing. I redownloaded the IPS, and I still got the same thing.
Thank you for making Outrageous Mario World the 11th most downloaded hack on the site!

Ham Sandwich progress: v1378 (Now with more arbitrary version numbering than ZGC!) Waiting to get around to working on it again.

I occasionally stream ROM hacks on Yoshi Lighthouse's Twitch account. Be sure to check it out!

Does it also have the new Midway Points? I need those, too. Or at least one of them in the first level, I only need that one level for testing, anyways.

So apparently the titlescreen patch and SRAMExpand don't like each other very much, which may cause another delay D=
(when inserting both, save prompts refuse to show up)

Alcaro is taking a look at it right now, so we'll see how it goes.

Edit: so now sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...
Tis is seriously giving me a headache. I''ll take greater look at it later.
Alright folks, here's a "base rom" that is edited so the SMWCoins are fully functionable(only in level 02 though) while we are waiting for MDP to sort out the midway checkpoints and such:

This is mainly for RPGHacker so he can test out the show-coins-on-Overworld-patch.
However, it's also there if anyone else wants to check it out(and most importantly: to notify me if there should be any bugs left)
Alright. I'm done with the patch and sent it to WYE for him to insert the actual sprite graphics (since I don't know how to display sprites). I told him to send it to Lightvayne right after that.

Late night edition. This is what happens when your 1 month old child likes to think its play time at 2am.

- Multiple Midways points now 97% inserted. I believe there are a few I still need to play around with. (Big thanks to MDP for working hard on this)
- The Antigravity Patch for SlashMan's level in now in and fully functional
- Mario Global Palette is now finally fixed. (also thanks MDP)

On that note, I believe the SRAMExpand.asm in the rom right now doesn't have the correct specifications. Please insert the one here to make the SMWCoins save and load properly.

Its added in on my end. It will be in the next base update

So I'm working on the SMWC Coin Counter on the overworld now, and was wondering where to put it.

I think it's going to be better visible in-game, but pay attention to the top-left corner of the map and the area right above the player sprite - those are the two possible locations I planned for the counter.

Which one do you guys prefer? Any other places you can see it going?
