A mod I have created which turns the original Super Mario 64 into a multiplayer game.
See the readme.txt for details.

Holy crap, thats amazing #smw{O_O!}

I am indeed very impressed with this. If I recall, SM64 was suppose to be a 2-player games anyways.

Is there any possible way to have the other player reskinned as Luigi, or is there a limitation with that?
Layout by LDA during C3.
OH MY GOD,how did you do this?
End of this message.
By gosh, sir how did you accomplish such a feat? This is groundbreaking.
Oh my gosh this is the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Would it be at all possible to perhaps release a tool that can change the other Mario's color, a la the palette changing gameshark codes, but in-game?

Not to be a glutton or anything...Just wondering.

Either way, this is really cool and when the rumored Wii version I heard about comes out I'm totally getting it.
ADMINS PLEASE MAKE E-MAIL NOTIFICATIONS A THING I BEG OF YOU
This looks awesome. I will try the patched rom on the N64 wii emulator so I can play with my friend (but I doubt it will work)

Anyway, good job on this!

Wow, this is nic- Omg!8> 0M6!!!!:P WHAT THE HEC- HOW IS THIS :O
*hyperventilates*

Anyways, this is amazing. Now I could play SM64 with my buds.
I don't know if anyone tried this here, but it doesn't work for me. I tried it in the emulator you provided but the audio plugin was missing. I tried it on my Wii64 emulator, but it crashed the emulator. I tried running it in Project 64 1.6, but it causes an infinite loop ending emulation.

I'm pretty sure I patched the rom correctly, since I got SM star road working, just not this hack.
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...

If you go to the release trailer it has a rom link that's how I got mine.
If anyone would do this, I would like someone to make (and send) me a version of Ladida's Minimalist Status Bar (the double version), that works with the coponies patch created by Noobish Noobsicle. (yes I know this is impractical.)

Would it be possible to make it split-screen? Single-screen multiplayer doesn't work very well if you move far-away from each other.
Your layout has been removed.
That is AMAZING!!! :O
one question:
how did that video get so popular in just 5 days!?

Exactly.
No, it's just that people aren't that interested in super mario 64 anymore, and that vid got so popular.
Besides, super mario 64 was JUST introduced into this site. Super mario world is the big thing on this site, and there is like, over 20000 users that made an account on this site to post their ExGFX, Hacks, Sprites, and others. Some people post stuff for other mario games on this site.
I just wanted to know how that vid got so popular. #w{:s}

Actually SM64 has always been a big thing away from this site, it's just that hacking the game has gotten really complicated for those that just want to get started. The reason this forum was set up is to be as friendly to newcomers as well as provide SM64 hackers in the scene already with more additional exposure (and a file host that it will take the apocalypses to take down).
I was a bit overwhelmed by how much attention it got - in 5 days it's already got more views than Star Road. Apparently it's being posted on lots of gaming news websites. I hope Star Road 2 gets an audience this big.

Anyway, 1.1 is up, check the description.
Skelux, please check your private messages.
1.1 is weird. The ppf version won't let me download.

Very nice! Congrats Skelux.
Any chance of seeing this hack working on an actual N64?
It probably does work on the actual N64. It works on PSP too.
