Yeah, it's not that great like your other ones were. It sounds like a stereotypical version of all your other songs put together, lacking the originality your other tracks had.

So far my favorite Keytastrophe song of yours is still the Castle Theme. That's the bar to beat, in my opinion.
It's me!!

High on life is the best high.
I've been looking all over and I've not been able to find anything - isn't there a complete list somewhere of all the default songs that are included with AddMusic?

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
This is really starting to piss me off but I have at least 7 un-used spots in my Addmusic and I am still getting the "Data too Large" error. I need help. By the way I am using a somewhat older version of addmusic.
@DaKing: Are your songs too big? Go back and make sure that you're songs arent too big. If that's not the problem, I don't know the answer. I tried.

I know that MKDS Rainbow Road, Tetris Attack-Yoshi's Stage and
Kirby Air Ride are some of them. Musics A B and C from some game (Tetris or Yoshi's Cookie are what I suspect, but I can't listen to find out)are also there. Other than that, I cant really make out any other song titles.

Also, would anybody mind dumping an SPC of this so I can listin to it and change it as needed?

I would do that myself, but as you can read in my "Fed Up with Technical Difficulties..." thread, I'm having sevre problems with finding a clean ROM and getting the music to work, so thanks alot.
Hope I helped.
Looks like code tags seem to have a problem with grabbing all of the code. I'll remove that rule and allow posting of entire music code again, and edit posts if I feel it necessary.

Chao: You didn't specify a channel #1. You have it in the header, but you don't have a channel with the data on it - therefore, it glitches when it inserts.
I have two questions:

1. I've noticed this with songs that have an echo effect in them. When you come out of an area that a song had the echo effect, to a area that has a song with no echo effect, certain sounds like Yoshi fireballs forces the level to have the echo even if the song doesn't have it originally, until you pause and unpause. Does anyone else has this problem?

2. Have anyone figured out how to change the Goal point and Boss defeat music to a custom song? When I change the values, nothing happens.

Excuse me if these questions have been answered.

EDIT: WHY IN THE F**K ARE THE TABLES SO STRETCHED!!
Sorry to make you feel a little sheep-ish, but now I've fixed the problem, and I've got a working SPC. And I DID specify a channel 1.
I probobly didn't copy it right or something.

For any of those who want Cackletta's Theme in their Mario Hack:

SPC
TXT

Enjoy ;) You can expect alot more music from me now!
I Tried addmusic and I only got only one song that came out messed up.HELP!Please?
Okay now I have an even stranger problem. This timee I only used HDMA, and I did not insert any custom music at all but a few of my instruments in my hack got effed up.

EDIT: NVM I found out it was a Sprite that caused the problem.
I'm having a stange little issue where after i had inserted all of my custom tracks, i tested each one and each one succesfully worked and then eventually after adding custom blocks/sprites so forth and so forth, suddenly tracks 22-26 are not loading into the levels and freezing it. I initially arranged my track order from smallest size to largest after have read several issues with larger tracks failing in the earlier slots. Could it be possible that certain tracks just can't play in certain slots? And it's also a little confusing that ALL tracks initially worked when i first loaded them in. Any ideas?
Is this arrangement of "Beware the Forest Mushrooms" from SMRPG any good? http://www.savefile.com/files/1458306
I've been hearing many arrangements that didn't sound good at all... So I decided to try one on my own. Hopefully it's not crappy...
Yo.
PROBLEM:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: AddMusic

oh god oh jesus what am i doing here

i am not good with this layout thing
Yeah, that would be line 1 of the entire txt. I haven't used English Addmusic, so I'm not sure if the translation is correct. Here are some possible things I can think of:

1. You are using a bad instrument (0-29 in decimal, minus 19-20, are the only ones that work)
2. You mixed up your # and $ signs. (#channel, @instrument)
3. You are attempting to use echo commands ($XX $XX $XX $XX) incorrectly.

If I saw your TXT file, I could tell you exactly what's wrong.
Ah, so I need to use a .txt?

That might just be my problem. :x

EDIT:

Uh, yes. That is where all the music data is stored.

If you want to see how it is laid out, try downloading any song from the music section and look at the format. Check out the tutorial in the documents by spigmike too - it's really useful for someone starting on music.
Repost from basic SMW hacking.

I inserted "Sonic 1 Act Clear" music as 26.
I set xC2F0 (Goal tape music) to x26.
I hit the goal and... the music stops.
I try x20... the same thing happens.
I try x01 and it plays the athletic theme just fine.
Plays x1D fine too.

Why doesn't it work with custom music?
Custom songs don't work with those (goal, goal sphere, star, etc) yet.

I asked this question and no one answered. Thank you SNN.
But I saw a video when someone used a custom song for the POW and it works. Weird that it doesn't work with goal.
I just recently started learning how to use addmusic. I successfully added songs 20-23, but every song after that crashes my rom, or no music appears whatsoever. If anyone could clear this up, it'd be appreciated.
When inserting music for the first time, did you get any error of any sort? If you put large songs in files 22-24, then they will malfunction and any songs after the file size error will not work. I recommend putting songs under 2KB (upon insertion - not text size) into those spots. Also, AddMusic will not read songs that weren't in the directory if they weren't inserted the first time you added songs to the overworld or levels.

If you have any important things in your ROM, then export them, expand a fresh ROM to 1MB, and do the following:

addmusic romname.smc INIT
addmusic romname.smc
addmusic romname.smc LEVEL

(Do not ever repeat the INIT line per ROM or you will corrupt it.) Then, extract and reinsert the GFX in the new ROM after the music has been added, load in your Map16 files, then ExGFX/modified GFX, then levels from your old ROM, and shared palettes if you made changes to them.

If you created songs for your hack, then check the file to see if you have a header for a non-existant channel, because if you do, then the song will not play. Just remove that header and it will work - if this was the case, then you don't need to move everything to a new ROM, but it sounds like it's not what's happening here.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
