Super Pika Land Ultra: Vanilla Version and Chocolate Version

Standard

Ugh I suck at these fancy schmancy showoff things. Anyway I had been poking and prodding at the original SPLU in Lunar Magic for like two months, and I'm pretty sure I got most if not all of the bugs and a good amount of crappy level design. I even tossed in an extra level in there somewhere. I even gave it a new title!

Anyway...

Download Super Pika Land Ultra: Vanilla Version

Also a gallery of screenshots. Not that many in there, though.

...

(looks at thread title)
Oh I also started a new hack, which uses custom blocks, sprites, (more) custom graphics, and various patches to spice things up a bit. I call it...

Super Pika Land Ultra: Chocolate Version
Download it!

There's a gallery for this one too. Really tiny, though. Don't want to give too much away. LIKE YOU CARE *fakesob*

I have some videos of the hacks on my youtube channel, so either click the link in my footer thing, or just on this text you lazy ass.

This will probably be the last hack I make, if I even finish it at all. Even so I'll submit these to the site after I get some feedback.
Haven't really tried out the Vanilla Version and seen it's updatez yet, but Chocolate Version is really cool so far. :3

What is the music in the second level of Chocolate, though? I've definitely heard this somewhere before, but I just can't remember where...
Good fucking bye.

Final Fantasy IV - Chocobo
Here's the port I found, and the original.
OH right that song.

Anyways, just finished the demo, and great job. Extremely fun, even though it's only one world, and the graphics and soundtrack were great.

Anyways, time to replay the vanilla one! :D

Edit: Thrill Hills leads to a bonus room that's technically not endless because of a bottomless pit, but still.
Good fucking bye.
... Speaking of which, a pipe in Rhubarb Ridge's side area is broken as well. In Chocolate Version.
Good fucking bye.
Sweet deal, I always had a blast playing the vanilla version and the proceeding demos. The graphic design was intuitive, and the setup of the level was brilliant. Great job on this, I hope to see more from you :D
Sorry for the bump but I think I might have found a bug in the level Ruby Cavern on the vanilla version. When you get into the room where the key is, there appears to be no way out. I can't go in the pipe or anything.

Screenshot of the place if it's needed:

Edit: I've tried all those yellow pipes there just in case they were special and I also tried the pipe you enter from at the bottom. I've also tried getting up on the ledge in the upper left and there seems to be nothing there either.
Well that would explain my issue then. There's no keyhole there. Hopefully restarting the level will fix that.

Edit: I had to restart the level twice but it did fix it eventually.
I played the vanilla version and it was really cool so far, including the Special World. I'll play the chocolate version possibly tomorrow.
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
You really should go through the Vanilla Version and remove all the cheap moves you've included since a lot of them were very unfair.
Cheap moves? What the hell are you talking about?
Good fucking bye.
