Super Dry Desert BG Graphics

Hey it's time I contribute something. I cannot release my hack as it isn't even nearly finished, so I'll release something I made for it. I made a really dry cracked up desert land-ish thing. It uses all the BG slots and is very pixel detailed. Enjoy!

It looks boog, but it's too simple in my opinion. Try to add a bit more detail in the clouds and in the sand near the horizon.

You did a good job anyway, I guess this BG would give a nice sunset/dry feeling.
I think that, if you change the white color in the ground near the horizon to a color more yellow-ish it would look better. Also, I think you should make the horizon more straight because, I think that in a level with horizontal scrolling, it would look strange in that way.

It is a really nice background, however. (: Like Aj6666 said, it helps to give a dry feeling.
Nice BG. It is very detailed and nice, and actually makes feel serene and relaxed. However, wouldn't it be strange seeing a sun over and over again as the background repeats throughout the level?

Nonetheless, this is a job well done. Kudos, my friend!
My computer often has nervous breakdowns, so I can't be on the Central as often as I would like. Not to mention that darned thing called life; always getting in my way and ruining my schedule!

In other news, I am currently working on two Vanilla hacks right now, with one being a joke hack. Stay tuned!
To be honest, I think the ground is much too bright.
It could use a bit more detail, because this looks like some awesome graphics you'd see in an 8-bit game.

It's quite OK. As some others have said, the palette could be improved and it could use some more detail. I must say I quite like the sun. Decent job.
Its not bad, though I think you should try and change place with some of the colors in the picture:

*Making the clouds bright and the sky darker.
Perhaps the same with the ground and cracks?

Other than that, I think this is pretty neat.

They do look rather 8-bit-esque. I could see those looking good against an 8-bit desert foreground.

As for the comment about seeing the sun over and over again as the background scrolls, you can always set BG scrolling to None or not have the sun at all.
