Okay, Xkas problems today!
I recently downloaded SmallHacker's double line patch and successfully pointed it to some freespace. However, when I go into the game, all of the names are blank!
So I snuck a peek in the the ReadMe...
Originally posted by ReadmeBasically, this hack adds a second line of text for level names, but unlike A Yoshi's idea, it doesn't remove Mario or the lives counter, nor does it increase the amount of letters per line.
This hack is compatible with Lunar Magic... ... ... ...in the sense that Lunar Magic won't screw anything up. The old level names will still be in the ROM and Lunar Magic will keep editing them, but they're not actually used. In other words, you'll have to edit the new level names manually, either by using a hex editor after inserting the hack, or by editing the ASM file itself, then reinsert after each change. The former choice is recommended, as it allows you to use a table file while you're editing it.
Speaking of Lunar Magic... For this hack to work properly, you MUST have edited the level names in Lunar Magic. (Okay, maybe it's enough to just save the overworld; I'm too lazy to check. Do both, just to be on the safe side.) In completely unrelated news, we should be thankful for an ASM hack installed by Lunar Magic. SMW's original method of storing level names sucks.
By what do they mean? Should I use a hex editor? How can I edit the ASM file itself? (i.e.)

I'm really confused, and I can't change it back because of a fatal accident in the backup folder. Please help me! (If I get one tl;dr, I'm gonna...)
Like how would I inser the letters?
EDIT: When using the Status Bar Editor, it asks me to link to a certain file. What would it be? Graphics? The Rom Name?
