There's actually a flower behind the bush. The flower has BG priority set to be behind the bush. The shyguy has sprite priority to be behind the flower, but BG priority to be infront of the bush, so it gets obscured in a wierd way. It's just a quirk of the sprite rendering, I think.

My take on Egg Plant is done. Extra bit decides on custom / standard sprite and Extra Prop 1 decides what sprite # to generate. Extra Prop 2 is how many can be on screen until it stops generating. THere's nothing to config in the .asm.
How can I change which sprite the Egg plant generates?
The next sprite will be the YI Cactus Jack, after the Bandit?

Sounds interesting for a sprite. All I did was make ExAnimated tiles for the Cactus Jack and a spiky football for the Needlenose.
CP_foothills has been canned. Therefore, this space is once again blank.
Would you be able to make a flower which generates extended sprites?
I.E. throw block
This would allow us to make bosses easier without having to make an excuse for a throw block to randomly appear.

So the flashing block you can grab that explodes in a few seconds is not an extended sprite?Please explain to me how it could be generated by sprites such as the flower.I could not find the throw block anywere in the sprites list.

note:By throw block I mean what the blue throw block turns into once you grab it.

Here's an idea, YI koopa. It might take 2 sprites working together though.
Throw block is sprite 0x53. I figured that would be a popular use for it.

E: Wierd...It generates nothing when set for throw block. Must need some special treatment. Not sure what it is yet though.

E2: And it's fixed. Turns out it needs the status set to something specific for it to work.

Found 2 bugs: The YI flower makes a sound when it spits something.
Also the YI BVZ_shyguy teleports behind Mario and dissapears when Mario is in front of it.

EDIT: Your YI_spitting flower beats MiOr's.
BVZ_shyguy is fixed (one byte mess up) and eggplant now makes a sound when spitting. No sound for the blowing smoke though. Can't think of anything for that. Did I miss the sprite release from MiOr, or is it just an observation?

Minor update: egg plant's throw blocks are no longer permanent. They use to never fade to smoke.

I found a bug with the grunt sprite. For whatever reason, when you kick a shell at it, it dies, but if you kick a throw block at it, it passes right through. o_O

Not only both sprites take superfx in order to make...
but... ah never mind..Ive explained what I mean about public bosses for a LONG time.You should know by now >_>
