Super Mario- A New Beginning (Demo 3!)

It is much less confusing in the Game than the screen makes it look. I dont think anyone is gunna trying to stand on the BG at all, considering the Scroll settings.

Level completed, just dealing with a little Palette Problem.

As you see here, I have a Red Shy Guy that has fallen off the ledhe into some water, It looks perfectly fine, right? Good.

Now, lets look at my Blue Shy Guy.

Why would a sprite that comes with sprite tool be Glitched?
I just dont get it.
Edit: It seems its a Probelm in YY-CHR, since the LM Palettes seem fine. I wonder why that wasnt double checked...
Everyone seemed to ocmplain about how little time there was on Level 1. So I expanded it from 450 to 500. If you dont think thats enough, I'll expand it again.

Alright, to fix that, open up the 8x8 Graphics Editor. Switch the the Blue Shy Guy's palette, and recolor his outline with black. The black should be next to the white on the palette box. When you're done, press F9 while in that window. Click okay or whatever, then go to File, Graphics, Insert ExGFX to ROM. There, it should work now.

Work is progressing rather slowly, I only have half of world 2 done, and that sounds a whole lot more than it really is....

Well... its perfect anyways.... I feel I could just jump up into the air and fly with them....
Unfortunately for Mario, jumping may be his thing, but jumping into flying Sushi....

I find it wise to carry an Object to take a hit for you from the fish....
It has an unfortunate downside too, as at some parts it may create lag, Layer 3, Fly Sushi, Orange Platforms, and a Carryalbe item dont work well together.... There isnt much of a lag problem without the Item, but IIRC, I cannot apply Fastrom and Fadefix, or the Rom Crashes... Pity...



After Dodging Sushi, you enter a pipe to a normal area, do some Gordo hopping and Tutle Dodgeing and you end up at the Goal.

I never saw that picture, I found a spritesheet on Shyguy's Kingdom and Edited it to fit SMW Graphics and look good with only two frames.. I havent put in the Falling Goomba sprites in yet, but I'll get to those.

I tried to not spoil the level, but show off the water at the same time. How does it look? Sure, you cant see the nimation, but from the frame, you can tell something.

Ive decided to make my 100th Post here. This is minimal information, so I'll just dsay it so everyone can know.

World 3 has barely even been started and the hack is already many times better. I've started with hand-made Graphics working and the like.

Also, I have Movie recordings working. Thats right, Now instead of just pics, I will provide videos of certain levels too!

Here's just a preview fr anyone what has not played the hack yet!

This is a pic of my World 4 Submap, a water cave World, with no events activated. I'm sorry that the bottoms of the top area does not have cliffs, but I'm working on trying to get the map to work with them. Palette problems make it had to get it right. The Magority of the Map uses a seconday Palette thats more resticted than most Palettes I deal with.
Gee, it sure is boring quiet around here.

Ultimario don't lose faith...someone will post enventually.:)

Anyways..Grassy Heights reminded me too well of megaman and loved and hated and frustrated me so much to the point that I wished megaman could jump half as good as mario. Bramble forest looks cool and Like the title screen as well and srry bout the G and N problem. lol

Ah, yes, the dissapear blocks of Megaman. These are much less annoying than those. It's also one of the few levels that include the blocks at all.
Yes, the G and N are terrible, but it's just too hard to make it without using the origonal SMW GFX, which I refuse to use now that I already bothered to make it.
Also, if you like the Graphics for the Bramble Blast, I submitted them as a BG/FG a while ago to the ExGFX section. There will be other things though, you will see in my hack that will never reach said section ;)
