nice 999/999 @ idol.
Also, I hope you enjoy your pet, your description makes him sound like me, exactly. So that's relatable.

For me, it's nothing special anymore, in the past I was happy when it's Christmas and so on, but now
I don't celebrate Christmas, as it's not really part of my culture, so I don't care about it, indifferent about that.
Though I don't like how self-centric some people can be about it on the Internet, it's really annoying and kinda intrusive for people outside of the circle to see people sometimes enforcing "christmas spirit" or whatever, completely oblivious to the fact that other cultures exist, complete with different celebrations, holidays and whatnot.
The only holiday I would say I really care about is New Year, which is something I actually celebrate (and involves me always taking a bit of a long hiatus from the internet some weeks before, during it and some weeks after it) more than the one day and moment, but the whole transitional period. It feels really nice to anticipate all of it, have fun with friends, doing stuff that's very specific to that time of the year, the beginning and the end, it all blends in a way, and it feels like a nice journey and always a great time to get new goals, plans, ambitions and adapting to trying new things. It's nice to just think and hope about a better next year, which even if doesn't happen at all, is still good to at least hope about it in the moment.
I also especially like New Year because it's universal, as far as I know, pretty much every country celebrates it, in different ways, sure. Some just really say "Happy New Year" when the clock ticks a new day, and just do nothing about it. Some have days and days of celebration and cultural events around it. And I find all of that pretty nice, the fact that even with all the differences, there's at least one thing that we all technically celebrate in a way or another.
(Sure, other holidays are all over the world due to globalization and stuff, but I still don't really consider it, since generally it's just about merchandise and less about actual celebration, and it all strays pretty different from whatever roots it originally had).

Birthdays feel sad as you get older and accomplished nothing, because you feel like you're wasting time, and you're running out of life, and in general it just doesn't feel all that great. Except when people show appreciation about your existence, then it feels way easier to forget your inner conflict and just enjoy the fact that some people don't think of you as absolute shit, and take their time to appreciate you.
I don't care about the feeling of obligatory gifts/party/cake. I think it's best and good if it feels genuine. People doing things just because they know it's your birthday doesn't feel good for me, the celebration is ok, but the feeling of being appreciated is what makes things good.
I don't care about if will get gifts and what I will get. I just appreciate if anyone takes their time to give me something, regardless of what it is, especially if their gift shows they know about me. But even if they don't, just the fact they went out of their way for it is really nice.
And also, I don't mind if they don't give me anything at all, I'm happy with anything really.
I don't ask for anything, even if they particularly ask me, I will have problems trying to think about anything, because I don't like asking for things. It's a personal thing of mine, and it's probably dumb for most other people.
I know, super long text, but that's the rule with my posts, rather than the exception, I guess. lol
