Dissolve "packs" or "compilations" from the music section.

Basically what the title says, unpacking any existant "pack" or compilation into separate submissions, just like it was done with sprites during remoredation and as a current standard. The pros are already knew by everyone: easier search and downloading just the required thing, mainly. This also applies to the music section (and any other section actually) in my opinion, so I don't think packs are necesary anymore.

Notable examples:

-Tornado's both 8-bit and 16-bit compilations.
-Wyatt's Music Pack.
-The recently approved RednGreen's C3 music pack.

Of course, this should be done if applicable, so for example, this wouldn't apply for Hack/Videogame's Complete Soundtrack (since that's actually a filter option), BRR samples and/or stuff like that.

(I only found relevant examples on the SMW Music section for now, but I don't know if there are silent packs in other sections)

it'll happen, but not right now. stay tuned
I think, this excludes game soundtracks because you can simply search for the game instead. But yeah, just like sprite packs with no real relation except the author (and maybe the game), music collections without any relation except their author and style makes searching for a specific song a lot harder than it should be so +1 too.
for the record this has been a bit divisive amongst the staff. i am for it, but i know a lot of others have spoken against it in the past. it's nice to gauge community interest.

for the sake of discussion, would any of you be against this?
Here's how I see the idea:

Port compilation is to Soundtrack

while...

Custom song compilation is to Pack.

Yeah, I support this.

I tend to like the idea of downloading things that are closely related together in a bundle when it comes to resource submissions because ill likely end up using all that is inside if good enough and it helps with convenience knowing which stuff is associated with which pack on a personal note.

I think the people who are against downloading bundled things should exercise their own power to just...delete the files they don't need to use instead of forcing the creators of those packs to upload each associated submissions separately. I see this having a negative effect where you would want to download for instance an OST, a graphics hack, or someone's event releases, and I see that mentality to be no more better than someone complaining about a package deal that they won but complains about the existence of other things they don't want. Leave it up to the creators of these resources to decide on how they want to distribute their resources, which unless they ask, I don't think that they have the right to a say on that or you to force those to distribute their resources the way you force em to do it.

Additionally, the stuff inside these packs in which Shiny Ninetales linked and the packs seen in former Romi's Sprites and smkdan's sprites before sprite remoderation were already described in the description portion of their respective submissions pages, and also are indexed by search results such as this one I just linked about sonic the hedgehog ost on smwc so arguing that its easier to search by separation is honestly negligible.

The only thing I will ask on policy if you want to keep allowing packs is that they should take the time to edit the descriptions to list what exactly is inside for those who want to know...if they haven't done so already.

On Pixel Art Requests: Depends on what it is and if I have the time for it. If its complex and I don't have the time, don't expect me to accept it.

Projects I support:

I mean, it's not for entirely ignore your point here SF, but I think this thing was discussed enough in the past (basically every post after that one, especially leod's post and RPGHacker's post above it, which are basically irrefutable) Not even a single person (except the one who start the discussion, obviously) disagreed.
