Well, it appears "io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception: connection timed out: no further information" means the only way I can play Minecraft with my brother is to play split screen on the old console versions. There's simply no other way, that error is unfixable and insurmountable.

I finished Persona 5 the other day with a total playtime of 100 hours. I really like it but Persona 3 is still my favorite Persona game.
Finally went back to Persona 4 after not playing it since December. At the moment I don't really like it that much, but I'm gonna give it a shot.
In Persona 1 PSP, I tried again at Hypnos Tower but failed again so I figure I'll just emulate it so I can at least save at the boss through savestate-like means. Not being able to leave towers without defeating the bosses I can live with, but not even being able to save at all during a tower run is kinda all sorts of dumb.
Last time in Shin Megami Tensei, I killed
Ozawa
and freed Psychodiver. I think my party is around level 30.
I was flying through Sword of Mana as the heroine but stopped once I got to the desert. I'm glad the dungeons not are the annoying and dumb dungeons that were in Final Fantasy Adventure. SwoM is a pretty decent remake, but man, the partner AI is absolute trash. They can't follow you at all and just take tons of hits from enemies. At least you don't need the partner to not die.

Recently I found an old disk of QUAKE III and have been playing it fairly regularly. Just kinda wanted to know if anyone else on here has played it.
*incomprehensible screeching*
Okay, either I'm completely useless at first person shooters, or these Gmod maps are kaizo. Which HL2 difficulty is Gmod locked to? Should it take 12 pistol shots to kill one Combine soldier? It's almost like I'm playing Paper Mario without the Lucky Star I'm that crippled.

Well, I just finished the last park in the first expansion pack of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon (Corkscrew Follies, also known as Added Attractions) today. I still have all of Loopy Landscapes to go, but I could probably use a break from the game for a while. I really need to get back to my LPs, not to mention Trails of Cold Steel 2 (though if I do feel like playing some RCT, there's always the scenario editor in the second game).

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
Playing the VLDC9 and I now feel a strong to murder someone. How does "The Action is Go" not have a green door before the start because THAT IS THE MOST UNFAIR LEVEL ENTRANCE I HAVE SEEN IN A VIDEO GAME, PERIOD, even Shut Up And Drive from YOLOshi's Island is more fair since it's at least possible to dodge the bubbles at the start, unlike that sliding koopa. And there's a part that's impossible without taking a hit, but it's impossible to get to said part is beyond me. How this level reached 55th is beyond me. This is Emoji Movie levels of baffling.

Checked out the open beta of The Crew 2. I got bored after about 3 hours in. One of the most boring racing games I've ever played.
Once I was done I wanted to quit the game. You'd think something as simple as that couldn't possibly be fucked up.
Well for some reason, I couldn't find the quit option in the pause menu. I actually had to fucking Google this! Turns out it was in a menu on the Triangle / Y button!

Come on Ubisoft, if I have to Google something as simple as quitting a game then you've really done something wrong! #smw{-_-2}
Holy crap, this puzzle is much, much harder than it looks. I've solved it before, but I can never remember how I did it, and it's just as difficult every single time. The description for this level pack even said "On a good day I can actually solve them."

Also tried FNAF Ultimate Custom Night. Even if you have a lower difficulty with a smaller number of animatronics, there are still way too many animatronics and mechanics to keep track of, and I haven't even completely mastered any of the first 4 games. Music box, fishing mini-game, noise, "please deposit 5 coins", heat, vents, Dee Dee throwing a random animatronic into the ring, etc. You probably will not even consciously remember all the animatronics you're supposed to be watching out for unless you only enable 1 or 2. 50/20 mode sounds more difficult than trying any of my Kaizo hacks savestateless. The theory that
this is Afton's personal hell
makes perfect sense.

Pre-ordered Shenmue 1 & 2. I loved S2 on the Dreamcast. Looking forward to playing these on my PC! #smw{^_^}
I just got done playing the Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap remake for Switch. I had never played the original Sega version.

It was quite a delightful platformer/action-adventure game and the updated graphics were cute. Despite being a pretty short game and packed a decent challenge. Some of those later dungeons were tough as nails but could be fairly beaten after some practice.

I had never heard of this series until recently. I saw trailers for that new Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom and was really intrigued, and saw there was another game in the series available for Switch. Needless to say I'll be getting Monster Boy when it releases.
After 3ish months (according to backloggery, it feels longer) I finally beat Nemesis Tower in Persona 1. Next up is Thanatos Tower which is supposedly very difficult and annoying so I hope that I've prepared enough.
I started a New Game + Playthrough of Persona 5, the sole purpose of which is to get the remaining trophies I missed.

i never played through kirby's adventure before, so since i got a famicom and an everdrive n8 i decided to do so. was berry fun, got 100% but i suck at vigeo games and almost game overed a few times w also like 2 or 3 of the secrets were complete BS what the heck
This game is probably just "lol oldnews" to everyone at this point, but the other week I finally got around to starting BioShock (3) Infinite, and finished it yesterday.

It was originally recommended to me by a friend about five years ago (pretty much right after the game came out) and I'm really kicking myself now for having put it off this long. I'm usually not a big fan of FPSs (which is what put me off from it at first), but this game right here is not only incredibly fun but also has an extremely interesting and beautiful story with a total mindscrew of an ending that I've been thinking about all day. Oh, and the voice acting is on the level of Xenoblade Chronicles so that's sweet as well.

I already have the DLC so I'm definitely going to complete Burial at Sea ASAP.

I have been playing 7th Dragon on the DS again.
And after having a lot of problems with a particular dragon after so much time, I have finally decided to stop the solo adventure and actually create other characters for my party. It still is not a full party, there are only 3 members.
I'm quite surprised at just how much easy things became. I made quite a decent amount of progress in few hours of gameplay! Even if their levels are way below mine, since they are there for support (offensive and defensive support mostly, one being a Healer and the other a Fighter), it barely becomes noticeable, the whole game became way more fun again, I use completely different strategies now, since I'm not on my own anymore.

I really like the customization in this game and also the character creation and classes, it is pretty fun with a solo run too, however, the game is certainly better enjoyed with more than one member in your party. The skill trees for each class are considerably large, and allow for a lot of choices for different playstyles. It can be quite hard sometimes if you don't manage your team well, but it is so satisfying when you start to learn the mechanics more and more.
Dawn upon me, morning sun... I anxiously tarry for thee, come to vanquish this horrible era of my life.

Things I am excited for:
Apparently there is nothing announced anywhere that really interests me.

Things I probably should do:
Update my profile to coincide with the new changes.
I'm playing smtiv again after beating deep strange journey on hard (which was probably as hard as the original game was, until the last two bosses which were fucking bullshit)
At this point, I should just learn how to speedrun smtiv or something, this would be my 5th time playing through the game. It's gotten to the point where it's like playing paper mario 64 where I can just avoid all the enemy encounters and just plan for the bosses along the way. I've been able to beat minotaur and medusa by just using the right strategy and team rather than grinding, it's pretty cool, especially since the game only gets easier after medusa, I don't think I'll have much trouble.
Minecraft on Survival mode is worse than Fallout 4 on Survival mode. At least with Fallout 4 I don't have to go to the Institute to unlock stimpacks. EVEN COMMANDS DON'T WORK FOR GIVING ME HEALING POTIONS.

EDIT2: With how overpowered even the weaker enemies in Minecraft are with the cooldown system and nonexistent healing, I’m genuinely surprised it’s not the TV Tropes page image for Early Game Hell

So, was the Nintendo Direct just cancelled?

It was delayed because of an earthquake. Nintendo will probably announce the rescheduled Direct soon.
Not that I expect much from it anymore, though. I think most of the surprises that they planned for it are already out by now via their respective devs/publishers etc. I suppose there's still room for some first-party announcements that weren't made by now, but who knows.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
What's been announced so far? And I'm guessing the stuff on Nintendo's Twitter counts, too? Do we have a release date for the Luigi's Mansion Remake, for one?
