Ultima`s Randomly Timed Port Batch Thread

Sonic Mania: Mirage Saloon (Act 1) (Skyway Octane)

Columns III: Revenge of Columns: Column Dive (probably one of my better ports honestly; if it gets canned, tell me and I'll just link the SPC for you #smw{:TUP:})

Megaman Battle Network 4: Battle With Myself

Super Robot Taisen OG: Flapper Girl (SNES Arrange) (mostly did this for Lucas lol)

also have this cheesy AF SPC (this uses Seiken Densetsu 3 instruments btw; probably one of my better SD3 styled shit, and it's literally supposed to be a shitpost lmao)

EDIT: Finally updated the Columns III link as promised lol

Did enjoy Mirage Saloon and Columns III was pretty good. It has a sound that's a bit easier on the ears (lack of aliasing.) Admittedly, while I've been guilty of this, I don't recommend echo on bass drums.
Yeah, I know about that, but since I can't really change the echo in a way that makes only the snare play the echo and not everything else with SPCTool, it's either full-on echo on the drums or no echo at all lol

Real quick where did you get the FIR coefficients 3C 3C 00 00 00 00 00 00 and 3A 38 00 00 00 00 00 00 ?
They were used on Battle with Myself and Column Dive respectively. It's a faint low-pass filter but something I can't recall seeing in commercial spcs.
Oh, Pinci actually linked me a program where you could make your own FIR filters, and I just got those values from there lol

here it is btw:

Sonic CD (US): Stardust Speedway (Bad Future) (here's a port of the less overrated version of Stardust Speedway Bad Future #wario{;)}) (also technically my first Sonic CD port surprisingly, which was also a request but ehhhh)

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations - Pursuit ~ Caught (also the same case as the above port, because holy shit Cornered is just a bit too overrated IMO; I actually prefer Caught as a Pursuit theme a bit more, tho honestly Overtaken and Wanting to Find the Truth are WAY better than both of those, so meh)

the lead in the Sonic CD port is really weird-sounding without any echo, but it's otherwise pretty good

Well, technically there is echo, quite a bit in fact, it's just that the original track had a lot of echo, and I still haven't quite figured out how to get a more heavier kind of echo without making everything sound hella distorted lol (I know that you can use more delay or the FIR filter to fix that problem, but ehh)

thanks btw #smw{^_^}

just do it fake with an extra channel. by the time you reach the point where all the channels get used you aren't going to notice it's gone anyway lol

Honestly, I would've done that already, if there was enough space to put delayed channels in there (the only way I could do that is in the beginning, where there is actually space, but not for the other channels), so uh, I dunno lol

that's what I meant, it's only noticeabe in the beginning. so just do it there.

Yeah, uh, I tried it, and while it is working well enough, the instruments after that part are pretty off-sync, and it would be a hassle to fix everything; I also tried making the gap between the main channel and the delayed one bigger, but it doesn't sound very good IMO

so uh, yeah, I ain't changing anything else #smw{^_^;}

Remember when you first started asking a bunch of questions on the OpenMPT forums. Definitely came a long way and good job on the port. Have you tried completing ports from the music request thread?
I probably shouldn't laze around getting shown up by everyone.

yeah, I remember lol; I honestly didn't know what I was doing at all, but it was already to be expected since I was, like, literally just starting out when I first asked there

I probably pissed off SagaMusiX (is that his name; sorry, I can't remember) a lot too, but ehh, I shouldn't blame him; I'm naturally slow on the uptake, so some stuff that would normally be really easy for someone to get right is just a nightmare for me, even after everyone helping me on it and I STILL don't get jack shit until much later; heck, I still don't know how to tie shoes #smw{^_^;}

and well, I have done a few requests outside of that thread, but I haven't really had too much interest on completing most of the requests on there, but I'd probably do a few someday, who knows

collision detection hell chaos, present JP version

sand ocean, future version

also people were requesting this earlier, so why not I guess; god damn was this hard tho, I didn't imagine this would be that hard to do, and I do hope the SCD tracks made by Hataya won't be as hard as this one #smw{-_-;}

V A N I R A I C U

all of it is Capcom samples btw, both from Megaman X1 and Mutant Apocalypse since those were games Setsuo Yamamoto composed for n' shit; the ride cymbal is from MM7 tho
