Description: SMW The Lost Islands is a fan made sequel to the original Super Mario World, keeping SMW's gameplay charm while also adding new features to keep the gameplay fresh. The Demo is at Version 0.6, and much like SMW's development, it was rushed in the end to meet certain deadlines. If you spot a bug, report it in the comments section of the video link because I don't get notifications on SMWCentral. The game will only count for 26 exits even though there is 32 and I can't fix it.

I'm rejecting this because it doesn't live up to our level design standards. The main problems with this hack are the extreme lack of variety and challenge. Four out of seven levels in world 1 use the exact same tileset, palettes, music, and sprites. They aren't distinguishable in terms of level design either - some objects are clearly copy pasted multiple times across these levels. They may as well all be considered the same level. The level design is equally monotone, with frequent stretches of totally flat ground devoid of enemies or decoration that sometimes go on for multiple screens. When enemies are used, they are usually general sprites that are placed in such a way that they pose no threat to the player.
All of this together makes for a hack that is just incredibly boring to play. Adding custom powerups isn't enough to make your hack interesting. I recommend you read our go-to level design guide and adjust your levels accordingly. Also, don't be afraid to have variety in your hack - don't restrict your creativity for the sake of trying to imitate Nintendo.

Misc. issues:

- The overworld is very barren. The landscape is shaped out of a lot of long straight lines, which looks uninteresting. Using the unicolor green tile for grass isn't a great idea either. There are plenty of other grass tiles and decorations you could use.
- You can get stuck in the wall here.
- This dragon coin doesn't disappear properly. Move it down or up a tile to fix this.
