Gamma's hack was good an all, but when I think Mario Is Missing done right I think of something that plays like SMW that was made around the '90s era. If you know what I mean.

Just like Mario Is Missing the worlds will be based off places around the world. The first world being Ravioli City which is meant to be based off Venice.

As you can see Luigi has the scuttle jump in this hack. Along with running slower.

The plain brick walls look rather bland. You should add some decoration. If Luigi's on top of buildings, there should be windows. If they're walls, maybe put in some vines running down the walls or have plants peeking from the top.

I don't like title, it looks like it's really stolen from Gamma V hack, maybe put more creativity for your hack name?

To Gamma V's post I have to add there's some pillow shading on the whole brick platforms. Shouldn't the right side of EACH platform be slightly darker than the rest instead of being white?

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

A diss hack? Can't say I've seen that before. But in any case the screenshots are looking rather empty and...nothing like a city so far. Try adding some decorations that make it look more city-ish, even if you have to draw them yourself. Street lights, benches, apartment buildings, you get the idea

Something kinda like this?

What's that supposed to be?

This one looks better than before. Albeit the background is not a city at all

I thought there were places in Venice that had mountains.

A building. I added windows.

You could add a few buildings on the background and keep the mountains then.

Can do in the next level. Which is right here.

As you can see the bonus area's a sewer this time.

And this is the first level you get Yoshi in.

They don't really look like buildings, they just look like normal platforms, and having them be the exact same color as the foreground doesn't help. I'm not too sure as to how you could make them look more building-like, but changing their color might be a good start.

I don't know about all this..

well, gamma did a Mario is missing a not long ago. Also I do like forground, but backgrounds don't blend well with the fg. I don't if making them 8-bitish or changing the palletes help. are you gonna have enough foregrounds to complete a hack?
I'm taking a break because there's somethings I'm unsure about. And no I'm not starting from scratch, like how I want bosses and future levels to be.
BANANA SLAMMA.
I think I'm gonna make it an SMB3 hack.

Edit: Fuck that idea IDK what the fuck to do with it.
BANANA SLAMMA.
No offense, but I know you can do better. I think you know exactly what to do with this one. Look for the trash can icon.
You could do a "insert name here" is missing.
Find a complete tile set that has backgrounds that work with it.
When I say complete I mean enough to make a whole game. Otherwise you get partly through and don't like the way it's going.

Hell your a preety good pixel artist, you could probably draw your own stuff...
Thanks, I've always been wanting to draw my own tilesets actually.

As for the levels, yeah I think I'm making it feel TOO SNES era-ish. I mean the levels are blatant edits. I'm scrapping the around the world thing, because that feels more SMB3-ish. So I'm going with a more mountainous area this time.

However... IDK how Luigi should control. I was just playing Super Mario Galaxy 2, and I notice Luigi runs faster, but is more slippery. So I'm not gonna work on the levels until a decision's been made. Because the levels are gonna focus on how Luigi controls. And I know what you're thinking, um have him move slower of course because that's how it would've been around the SNES era, however Mario's had inconsistency throughout the years. Weather it'd be gameplay, character abilities. So I'm gonna make a poll.

How should Luigi control?
BANANA SLAMMA.
Let's be real, if he doesn't have Mario or any other playable character to be compared to, is it really worth it to give him low traction and the high jump? Either way, best of luck
