My SMW Mini Game

I don't really have anything else to show, but I hope this is better than what I submitted before. Maybe levelengine or someone can play it in Youtube if that is okay. I know it's not that long, but I worked hard on it. I don't want to give too much away, but there are some more surprises, and I tried to fix the math maze and make it less difficult since I had an incorrect answer.

Here are some screenshots:

It's not really bad. Though there are a few errors I've spotted out:
1)Cutoff

2)Bland background

3)Glitched Blargg and green brick cutoff

Your idea with the math game is something neat! I like it the best
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

The main issues aren't just the ones pointed out above. My main impression is that you seemed to slap some blocks and sprites without testing it thoroughly, especially with the aesthetics. For instance, that and other haunted chairs are cutoff and the presence of layer 3 water makes the experience even more obnoxious than it is. You can also get stuck in some parts in the last room due to how finicky the vertical layer 2 setting is.

Your graphical choice isn't bad, but your usage isn't the best either - the decorations for the castle could have been spread out way better than you did in the last section by attaching them to the bricks properly.

And finally, that blargg boss is stupidly easy to beat if you ignore the moving lava that isn't actually very threatening if you just stand on a safe spot. One positive aspect of this hack is the math riddles, these are a good idea.

In any case, good luck and I'm hoping to see an improved version at some point.

Should I just take away the water tiles?

2)Bland background

I know, but I can't really help that. When I changed it to layer 2, it took away the background image.

3)Glitched Blargg and green brick cutoff

I know, but I don't know what's wrong w/the blargg. I did not make it. I just d/loaded and inserted the graphics,
and that's how it appeared. Also, where is the cutoff in the green bricks? If I don't put those bricks, Mario went through them and fell under the ground and died so there is a good reason why I used them.

Thanks a lot. Last time people were being really overcritical about the math maze, and I know I was really worn out so even though the password was working fine for me, I forgot to check that the answer would be correct in one of the problems. Also, people complained about the square root problem so I made it easier.

I forgot to give credit to Roberto Zampari for the math and library graphics as well as the math idea. He used them in his game so I am not sure if he made them, but he used ASM and blocks.

Also, maybe I should take away the layer 3 water in the library room like Katerpie mentioned. I remember we made a flood game for one of my classes so I got that idea.

Also, Katerpie, did you play through the whole demo? Was the preboss room better? I might try to work on it more tomorrow and fix those problems, but I'm afraid I might run out of time to show more in time before C3 is over.

Go to the right on the map. There is more than just the math haunted house.

You mean the level to the right of Yoshi's House?
I did, and my opinion on how extremely flat it is and how you seemed to spread objects and sprites lazily still stands. Try to give it a bit more variety than that.

Yes, and there was another level after that too or maybe half a level b/c I got tired.
Good stuff, I like it. Nice job!

Considering that it's supposed to reflect a football field, at least it makes sense that it's completely flat.
It should still be well planned rather than just containing a bunch of enemies raining at me while on a floating ledge.
