Whoa very good use of @17 in metal crusher.

nice ports
As always, you fail to disappoint anyone. I'm bias, so I loved Imperial March the best, but the rest is awesome too... especially with the beginning notes of Metal Crusher (granted, it could be quieter). The Mega Man X5 Zero Battle theme is also my favourites, if we're not counting movies (mostly due to B̧̫̽͑̆̈͗ͦͥr͚̜̠̙̠ͤ̉͟u̜̫̽͟ṱ̳̝͉͋a͢l̞̤̿̅̎̋̈ ̣͙̖̎͛̃ͮͫ̾͆͟M̗̫̭̝̖̭͙ã̹̺̦̪̼̬̣ͧͧ̈́͊́r̳͆ͫͩ̈́ͦi̘̤̪̞̫̻ͅo͛̀͛̽̉ ̹̩̳̱̜͇̒ͮ̋͗͊bͥ̉͆ͩͯ͏̳̬̦͕ị͔̫̻͔̹ͫ̊ą̺̻̍̈͒ş͇̪͕̐). Super Mario 3D World's main theme is also really good, in fact it's probably the best version I've heard thus far... you know what, screw it, everything's good here. God damn it, Wakana, you've done it again.

(rip my other userbars momentarily)

Waited so long for this and finally master Wakana blessed us with his ingenious work again. It´s hilarious you did a Who wants to be a millionaire port this time #tb{XD}

My personal fav tho is Super Nazo Puyo: Ruru no Ruu - Rulue Puzzle 1. Great melody and perfectly ported (and completely unsampled). The other songs are great, too of course #w{<3}

As always you can be very proud and please keep up the excellent work to please us again next C3 ;3

The main theme of Super Mario 3D World is. GOD. TIER.

The rest is also superb of course but hot damn this is one of the best products your skills ever hatched.

Please never stop being the best composer here.
This unsampled Smithy Battle 1 port gives me life.

I came here just for that Undertale port

You never fail to impress with your ports. Metal Crusher kind of sounds like it would be fitting in a dungeon near the end, but it's not too bad actually.
I'd also like to thank you for that Imperial March port we used in our VLDCX level #ab{^_^}
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
Damn, dat pitch modulated distorted guitar in Metal Crusher's pretty accurate to the original IMO. In fact, this port uses the (horrible) SMW distorted guitar sample quite well, so kudos for that!

The SS port is pretty great too, it would've been better if I actually remembered most of SS's soundtrack from when I played it tho, but meh

Also damn, you've finally released that MMX5 port! IMO, this song's a bit hard to replicate with older hardware or limiting yourself to one game's samples (probably why my port of this isnt gonna be MMX-styled, if only that's already been done countless times in that style already), but you did a great job at replicating it in SMW's style! now make a sampled version plz kthxbai

*listens to Spring Yard Zone* Dangit, Wakana! That's the THIRD TIME you've outdone me on a Sonic 1 port, and I ported that song TWICE! That leaves just the Special Stage and Labyrinth Zone themes, and you'll probably do those at some point.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!
- Transformers the Movie (1986)
That Lanayru Facility Port. That one is by far my favorite in the whole pack, excellent work on all of this.

You mean lovely distorted guitar sample? #tb{D:}

if it was lovely, then why does the sample itself sounds so horrible 🤔

I weirdly like how it sounds. I mean, it doesn't sound like a guitar, but that's what makes it charming. :P

Hi.
Gorgeous as usual <3

Thanks again for making that Imperial March, it made me and Archie so happy
I feel like I heard the SMW Area 5 port before.

That Star Wars port is really strong. And so is the SM3DW one. Like damn.

All around really neat tracks in this pack. I sometimes think the instrumentation of your stuff - especially unsampled - could be improved (and I would love to get in detail, but I can hardly explain why most of the time :s), but I feel like you're improving consistently every year - so keep it up!
I can at least mention that the Smithy port is probably slower than the original, and SMW's samples don't do it a lot of justice.
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?

Is it because of the fact he always use MIDI instruments? Because I can fully agree on that, and in fact its something I always found odd in Wakana's ports. Like, it would be okay if he used them sparingly, but most of the time he always uses Yamaha XG instruments, which, while I do agree they're really high-quality, you can always achieve quality with more varied instrumentation as well. Its like I do really; I do a few ports with the same instrumentation, then I just move on to another instrument set, and so on and so forth. Tbh, I think Decoy was right with that post he made back at the "Unpopular Opinions" thread at GD, because I do feel Wakana's ports are a bit iffy on the instrumentation and should be more improved upon. That's all, really

That smithy post is beautiful, same for the imperial March and the SM3DL. Metal Crusher is too high pitched at the beginning, but the rest sounds good. I still need to listen to the others, but I can't say much about them since I'm not familiar with the originals.
Thanks for the kind replies!

It's not horrible lol, let's just say that high pitches with this should be avoided, unless you know what you're doing.

A jp porter already did a port of it iirc.

Sure thing, I'll increase tempo a bit, though I must mention that AMK slowing down doesn't help me much. #tb{:p}
As for SMW samples, that was my goal, to attempt something which is good enough with only SMW samples. Making it sampled would've been too easy.

Blame me being lazy, lol. I could make new samples every time I make a port, but, since they turn out awful in 80% cases, I prefer going safer and use the ones I already have.
I'm aware I must change this attitude lol, though it's not like I never changed the samples I work with, and there are various my ports in the music section that prove it.

Metal Crusher is too high pitched at the beginning, but the rest sounds good.

Will see what to do. Trying to emulate the scanner SFX at the beginning was a tough challenge.

Something I also was wondering about, and I need more people's input.
As you probably heard, most of the ports use noise (the orange "N" that appears sometimes). When used, this has high chances to fuck up some sfx used in super mario world. Since I want to aim to 100% stability, should I also include a "sampled" version which only replaces the noise with a "noise sample"? The port would get "sampled", but it'll become 100% stable with any sfx played.

Let me know! I'll probably upload these after 25th, once I fix the issues some of you mentioned.
