A very noobish vanilla hack

So I've started working on a new hack and only have 1 level done so far but what do people think?

Only Yoshi's Island 1 has been changed.

True, but I was curious and gave it a try.

It's a start, but right now the level is just a fusion of the original YI1 and 2 for the most part. It's also devoid of thoughtful enemy placement, you should place them in a way that they are at least a bit of a threat! But not as much of a threat as that one banzai bill right below the 1-up block that will ambush you when you jump over that hole.

EDIT: also you forgot the goal tape :P

Also let's not forget that one yoshi coin above the screen boundary. If you're gonna hide secrets like that, at least hint the player in a noticeable way, or just enable vertical scrolling at will. And what's the point of the row of red koopas at the beginning? There aren't enough to get an 1up.
So I tried your level, and to start things off positively, you seem to have some fundementals down. The level is very playable for the most part.

However, i'll some up issues I had while playing this:
-The level seems very based off of Yoshi's Island 1 and 2. It is a little too obvious in my opinion. A little more creativity would suffice, otherwise people might think you just blatantly edited the level itself.
-The first Dragon Coin is above the lower half of the screen. I would suggest either leaving a hint by putting a coin trail below it, or change the vertical scrolling to 'At will' by pressing #lm{MARIO69} in Lunar Magic so that you can freely scroll up.
-When shooting out of the pipe, you get launched into a bunch of Rexes and that can't be avoided. I would suggest moving or removing the one behind the one in front.
-Lastly, if you haven't enabled the Switch Palace yet, the jump before the clouds and the 1-Up Mushroom (again, should be a little more thoughtful) becomes very tedious because a Banzai Bill comes right after that, making you have to jump back to the previous platform or get hit in a forced way, and that's not a good thing.

You also seem to have forgotten the goal point, but that's not a big deal as long as you fix that.

For a first hack, i've seen worse, but at least fix the first issue because the level doesn't look like there has been put a lot of effort into. Fixing the other things would also be useful but not AS strict. Hope I helped. #smw{;)}
The level looks like a subtle mix of Yoshi's Island 1 and 2. Possibly you didn't have any better ideas. Two Yoshi coins are way above the screen-boundary border. The objects/sprites are only visible if they're up to four tiles (and no more) above the border. You can also set "vertical scroll at will" after clicking on #lm{MARIO69} and then on "no vertical scroll at will unless flying/climbing/etc". The shooting pipe shoots you to the Rexes which isn't avoidable, unless you press and hold left. There's no point of the red Koopas on screen 02 because they don't give you a 1-up. The Banzai Bill part after the lone shell is annoying since the yellow switch can't be activated before playing the level. If you hadn't played it before, you can get hit by it or if you know this level, you're forced to go left. Move it a few tiles right and it's okay. Also you forgot about the goal tape.

Your level definitely needs to be redone since it looks like a blatant edit of YI1 and YI2. Use your mind and make something new and original.

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

It's a pretty decent and enjoyable level. I liked it. But it's pretty bland at the end, add some decorations and enemies.

I'll be adding some more details to the whole level later on, plus I might change up the end a bit that's why there's a lack of enemies for now.

Your first hack looks very good. My first hack is worse than this. You added the goal point now. That's good. But you'll need fix this.
