GabrielJohn - Frozen Mirage

Dear SMWCentral Users and Staff,

I have a Level at the very last Minute to Show off (and Hopefully Submit in time) for the VLDC9. This Level is Short (like...really Short), but because I was Stupid enough to Leave this until the Last Minute, I don't have time to make a Longer Level for the first ever Contest I am Participating in. The Screenshots below show the Level without Sprites. The Sprites will be the next Thing to put in.

Basic Synopsis: Welcome to the Frozen Mirage. Be Careful when Traversing through this Level and Explore EVERYTHING. There are a few Fall-through Areas and a few Fake Doors. The Exit requires some Thinking. Not Everything is what it seems.

Important Note: In Case my Level actually becomes a Level in the Actual VLDC9 Hack (I highly Doubt it. My Level Sucks), the Levels I edited with Lunar Magic V2.42 were 105, 1CB, 25, and FF.

You should input a variety of obstacles and sprites, so far I just see a repetition of pits like here:

I like the idea of a mirage though, I wonder how you'll execute it. Good luck, you have like an hour left lol

I'm Currently putting in Sprites as we Speak. As I mentioned before, I would have had a much Longer Level...except for the Fact that I was an Idiot and left it to the Last Minute. I hope people still enjoy it for what it is though.
Hello kids,

This is why you do not procrastinate.

Happy staying up to 1 AM, kind sir. On a Sunday night, I mean Monday morning, too.

Sorry to be realistic, but after I zoomed in to look at the photos I see numerous:
1- cutoff
2- repetition
3- weird pipes
4- bad design

My advice would be to just create one level that is about 15(hex) screens long and don't do unnecessary work like the alternating blue and yellow coins, or posting screenshots on this thread :P

1. Not sure What to do about the Cutoff. There are some Cutoff Places that are used to go through the Level ;), while others are not.

2. My Apologies for Repetition. I'm not that great at making SMW Levels. To Prove this, here is a Link to a ROMHack I created which, for all Intents and Purposes, should never have been made.

3. I put the Half Color Pipes in because I thought they looked cool. Nothing more.

4. See #2.

Thanks for the Advice, but right now, I have no time to create a new Level. I will Definitely not Procrastinate when VLDC10 rolls around Next Year haha.

In the Meantime, my Level is Complete with Sprites, and Objects. Make sure not to choose the Wrong Path to the Exit. Also, the Exit Requires some Thinking, but not much. The IPS File will be posted in the Rules and Submissions Thread. Despite its Suck-ish Nature, I hope you still Enjoy what there is of Frozen Mirage.
