Ruberjig - Archaic Architect (Final Screenshots)

This is my first solo VLDC entry ever. I hope it's good.

This is what's done so far:

The water backdrop is layer 2 and the rocky hills are layer 3.

...And now to hit that Vine Blo-

It appears this happens on a rare occassion. Why it happened is beyond me.

Also here is the song i made that for this level.

All opinions are welcome ( 'v')b
Welp, if I submit a level, I will probably place under you
Seriously, everything looks great! I like how you changed the palettes to give them orangeish shades.
Level design seems pretty well thought as well.

Also wow, that bug is weird. Could it be related to the emulator you're using?
It looks really pretty as I expected from you. The level design seems pretty interesting too, can't wait to see how it plays.
Good luck with this. #tb{:)}
Are you sure that this all follows this rule?

Those bones in the ground and stuff are surely not some layer 2 trickery since you are using layer 2 and layer 3 as background.
Very neat! This level looks very well designed and has cool aesthetics.

This level is one which I will certainly look forward! Good luck.
nothing to say

Layout by RanAS
Neat aesthetics. Looks fun too. I already want to play this one.

Looks like they're just overlaid on top of one of the solid-color tiles. That should be acceptable I guess?

Level looks great by the way.

Huh, in that case that rule is kinda dumb lol

You could just overlay the 8x8 solid color tiles and any other tile after all so the whole "you can't remove transparency" thing really doesn't mean anything, does it?
In that sense, Ruberjig could rather overlap dirt tiles with whatever he wants to make stuff look better.
But yeah, the rule is silly because we can break it 100% legally.
Except for the part that forbids to make stuff transparent, sounds pretty fair to me
Here's Section 2 which is a vertical room (Not counting the sub rooms found here).
Let the real madness begin....

Starting point. How do i get out of here?

After going through a pipe and Sub room 1

After going through a pipe and Sub room 2

After going through a pipe and Sub room 3
Where do we go from here...?

All the way up of course.

Now that we're up he're...

WEEEEEEEeeeeeeEEEEEEeeeee all the way down

Right into the water at the bottom.

Good. Now go up again. Do it.

What's in here?

...That's classified.
It... is done. Here's the rest of the screens.

Subroom 1.

Subroom 2.

Subroom 3.

Just a small notification.

This is a secondary exit to the first section's room.

There's the home stretch!

ffs red tile down there

This level is completable under 500 seconds. I leave Mario alive if you ran out of time, so you can finish it instead of having to do it all over again.
Here's the times:

The first room should be about 200 seconds.
The 1st vertical room transition + Subroom 1 should be about 100.
The 2nd vertical room transition + Subroom 2 should be below 50.
The 3rd vertical room transition + Subroom 3 should be below 50.
And the rest of the vertical level and the last section should be greater or equal to 100.

Which all adds up to 500. As far as I recall, It's okay if Mario doesn't die at 0 seconds.

With that said, Enjoy.
This level looks nice, this deserves a good position (probably between 10 and 20)

Updated 3/3/16 update now more fair
So I might be away from my computer for the week.

Now that vldc is coming to an end, I'd at least like to know how I did among the other submissions, and what needs to be changed or how i can improve when it comes to these kind of things.

I was hoping vldc would somehow improve my level design. And I can see it has. Maybe the best thing I could have done was more screenshots, but this is sort of a learning experience for me. I've updated the level so hopefully it's as decent as it gets.
