Description: | This is my latest hack. After years of absence from the art of hacking, i got back into it and a couple of months later I came up with this odd hack. Before you say ANYTHING about the pallete-its a toxic wasteland theme so if it looks gross, it's supposed to look gross. No patches or Hex edits (unless SMW Customizer counts). I edited some GFX and included a screenshot of the custom sprites and the characteristics that each uses, but no ExGfx used. No events are used in my hack, i may add them later but i worked really hard on this and the last thing i want is a game-breaking issue ruining the whole thing. Please moderate at will and PM me with any questions. Tested on ZSnes and Snes9 (couldnt get bsnes to work on my machine. EDIT: Sprite Behavior pic didnt make it up-its in my file bin instead. |
Now before you say ANYTHING about me talking about the palettes it doesn't matter if it's "toxic" themed or not, you can do a toxic looking palette well if you try.
Horrible palette.
OH GAWD MY IIIIS
THEY BLEED!
Though not the worst thing in the world I recommend adding edges to your magical ghost water.
Beware of the slanted pipes because you can walk through them from the right hand side.
This just flat out looks bad.
In relationship to Mario and where he starts I thought these plants were part of the background.
And in Bonus House you can easily get yourself stuck and need to hard reset if you use the P-switch and don't go in the door.
Besides all of the above this hack is fairly bland without a lot of ascetics put into it combined with boring levels and horrible palettes this was just not a pleasant experience.
