[REMOVED] Black Derulo World by JulienZ57

Length: 1 exit(s)
Difficulty: Kaizo
Description: Here Black Derulo World, I spent eight months to do so, during these eight months I have not really had the motivation to go on Lunar Magic so I had a lot of delay with respect to the true release date hack, it's not the big Difficulty Kaizo is rather Hard but I prefer to Kaizo hack
I hope that you enjoy the hack and that you can be successful without using savestates
Good Luck !

I really like the aesthetics of this hack, and the intro level was kinda long-ish. In fact, I actually thought it was the real level at first and that you'd used the no OW patch, in which case it would likely have been removed for being too easy and short.
After that, there's a green switch palace level that's barely a level, just two nearly identical one-screen rooms, and you said "1 exit" in the length field, so one might just play that and call it a day. But that's not the biggest problem.

When I go on the downward path from the level and teleport into the galaxy center, the sound turns off, and then if I enter either level, the game crashes. Doesn't even load past "MARIO START." Probably a music problem.
Shame, because I thought it looked pretty good from the screenshots.

I think that's a removal reason right there, even if I was missing something painfully obvious back there

PS : I solved the problems of sound for SNES9X 1.53

I really like the general aesthetic.
It kinda seems like reasonable difficulty for a save-stateless hack, tho a bit on the easy side, but the part where I had to go thru a door from atop a midair springboard was so many steps up in difficulty from the normally tame hack.
The Boo fight was a bit annoying and repetitive, and not even challenging. Just a floor made of throw blocks, and bullet bills going by, and the Boo's hitpoints increased greatly from the SMW Boo fight.
The room with the auto-scroll and tanks made the sound turn off, but thankfully it did not crash. Sometime after that, some empty sections with moderately difficult jumping obstacles. In fact, there was one room that had spikes that would smash down real fast at the end of a long hall of oddly placed walls that seemed to be nothing more than filler.
The rooms where I had to kill all the enemies were not even anywhere near challenging. All I had to do was Koopa hop on some closely and conveniently placed para-troopas and let them fall in the gap, or spin-jump. The Magikoopas were even easier. I just jump on them as soon as they appear and then the screen scrolls onward. The auto-scrolling in between didn't quite have that "danger' feel.
The final boss was a bit anti-climactic. The Koopaling just runs left and right while shooting fireballs ad the occasional jumping, and I can just jump on him a few times. A more challenging set-up would have been more ideal. Maybe layer 2 or some accompanying enemy sprites.
The difficulty was pretty much like a roller coaster. There were some decently challenging sections but also some segments that seemed way too easy. It can be harder without being one of the "hard type" hacks.
I am kinda on the fence with this one, but I am leaning a little more toward rejection due to the anticlimactic showdowns and numerous sections that seemed like filler.

Tested with Snes9x v1.51

Intro:
Aesthetics is rather well done, but the fix is not kaizo
After I find that this is not a significant problem.

Part 1:
Fix kaizo is just finally,.
The level design was well enough, not too unpleasant problem
By contrast I found some passages not too kaizo according to me
After the ideas were very good in my opinion

Part 2:
Very nice party although the kaizo is not really present
That's enough damage car idea could be better undertaken.

Part 3:
This room is pretty easy, I also found this short enough room
After the level design is not too bad.

Part 4:
Big Boss with a small fix in addition but not Andrew.

Checkpoint 1:
Good here I have nothing to say because it is just a passage for checkpoint

Part 5:
Very good idea to part it's very interesting in my opinion
except the difficulty which is not too kaizo

Part 6:
a rather interesting part but I too liked
But the kaizo was more present in my opinion

Part 7:
Great idea in my opinion the property inversage was a very good idea
The fix was mi-hard mi-kaizo I find

Checkpoint 2:
Excellent idea the tanks with the bill ball Woah I frankly loved this idea bravo
After it too Kaizo would be the default

Part 8:
Ah it is much more interesting level of difficulty
I find that the ideas of the parties were not too bad
In my opinion I think that it is more sympathetic.

Part 9:
I like your idea of background have used a water animation and customization
the palette disputes fairly well on the level
The fix was also very easy kaizo according to me
After y' still has a small rehearsal according to me on the level

Part 10:
UH this is part is pretty easy I find even when that is not very well done on this one here because it is fairly repetitive
Except the end which is quite interesting

Part 11:
Cool of the fickle I had never seen before ca in kaizo hacks
After some slowdown on the end but when I got to this place I have succeeded a kill 4.5 enemies so I have not had any slowdown.

Part 12:
Pretty much as part the idea is not too bad
After the kaizo is very very bof on this part.

Part 13:
A scrolling very very easy
but for a driveway for a boss is pretty cool

Boss:
Very good aesthetics on this boss except for the too simple fix

Overall:
This hack is really nice ideas were pretty much see same sometimes very well found
The level design was well enough, there's not much very annoying
Except the fix after I like the mix of the two is quite nice.
Frankly it would be shame of rejected this hack because it sees that you have work top aesthetics was really well done.

Difficulty: Hard/Kaizo
Verdict: Accept
Layout by Koopster
I will not talk much, but here we go:
Title screen-I found it very impressive, the graphics were great, the bill generador bullet and bowser fireball helped a lot in the statement of Kaizo.
Overworld-style of hack "K-16", but the entry side "black" of the universe, helped a lot.
Level-In the first parts, for me, are mis or less Kaizo, it was hard, but not to be considered kaizo.
But not found errors.
In the latter stages is awesome, I really quese impossible to pass, however, without errors.
I accept the hack because you caprichou the work of hack.#smw{:peace:}

Nice to see that you've fixed the overworld.
Upon entering the first level I see from the map, I hear a buzzing sound and afterwards the music and level going on as normal (this is the first in a long time I've used an emulator other than ZSNES; I used ZMZ), probably because the music used there is outdated. I'm not a music expert, so I don't know what you could do to fix that other than picking a different one.

Most of the level is still relatively easy (not an issue) or hasn't been fixed, like the big boo boss battle being tiresome after a few hits and a few other stuff. In addition, this section, besides the status bar's palette looking weird, is a bit unfair considering I'd have to predict which spots are safe to go on and there are teleport blocks almost everywhere that lead to death. I suggest to either scrap it and make a different one or leave it as it is, but make it more obvious where the teleport blocks are.

Here, taking out the question block spawned by the P-switch, I could use the springboard to enter the door, but that's more difficult.

The final boss could be improved. All I had to do is jump on it a few times and that's it. Perhaps you could implement some kind of twist to make it more fun to fight, especially in a Kaizo hack.

While the aesthetics are cool, that doesn't exclude the fact that the hack itself could be improved. Maybe, make a few sections a bit more difficult and consistent, like the rooms where I had to kill all the enemies to progress, and not make the bosses a bit anticlimactic. I'm kind of ambivalent about the verdict, but if it wasn't for the previous issues mentioned here, I'd lean towards accepting this.
The difficulty, despite being "Hard", is still "Kaizo", due to a few sections being a bit difficult and precise.

Oh god what i'm doing!?
Well i played this hack so why don't give it a review?
Well the plot is a bit strange but is nice since not much people design a story-line in their hacks, so nice job!( I know the story is really short, but still good work)
Well what can i say... a pretty well worked hack!
There's a bug in the OW. when it display the save message :P.
The first stage well.... Is a bit more or less for a Kaiso hack, well not only this level but all the levels are.
I guess you have made a time Kaiso hack.
Graphical is the most amazing for this hack, this is going be like my hack. a Kaiso hack with amazing graphics!
Well i think this hack is pretty acceptable but...Well i have noticed something pretty annoying. I'm forced to hit the switch palace to continue, i have made this on my first play but and if i don't do this?, All my work until this part will be gone?!
About the difficult well... I guess i have seen much PIT hacks so i guess i was comparing this with one. I'm sorry for doing that.
The difficult is Kaiso mostly because of the small time limit.
I hope people keep making Kaiso hacks like this, because.... I guess most of the Kaiso hack aren't considered much entertaining because it is always Vanila and etc.
Keep this good work in your next hack!:D
my final verdict.... well REJECTED Why? well i guess you can easily change this switch palace. It won't will hurts will?

Sooo, thought I'd give this a try.
To be honest, this wasn't too thrilling. First of all, this hack is clearly Kaizo, and not just hard. A hard hack is something that I'd still play without savestates that creates a fair difficulty and not unfairness like here.
Random invisible warp blocks that take me to a level with instant death... very fair. I'll admit, the first half of the first level was somewhat OK but more normal than hard. Then suddenly the level jumps to really hard with flying and running below koopas. I'll admit though, the level looked really decent :D
The second level did too, if I overlook the random warps and the sudden NSMBW graphics.

The overworld isn't all that great either in my oppinion. Seeing as there are only two level, I guess it's not that bad but you can't see where you are or where you're going at all.
Also, the save message doesn't display text and just hides the player.

Lastly, and I'm not certain about that one. Could it be that you need the switch to actually beat the second level? I didn't think about this during the play but now it occured to me that I think ther was a feather on a switch block.
If that's the case, that's one big A-hole move. Making the player play through half the level just to tell him HAHA you didn't hit the not so obvious switch, fuck you.
I don't mind enforcing switch palaces in Kaizo games, but do it at the beginning of the level and not half way through.
If however, I'm just imagining this... than I apoligize.

Either way, the difficulty fluctures and there is general unfairness.
All in all. Difficulty: Kaizo
Verdict: Rejected.

This hack is not bad in my opinion, for me I took a small pleasure has play has your hack
Can be a few problems at the level of the difficulty, Hard/Kaizo.
By against the Green Switch and really hard to find
The level design was not bad peux-being a little deceitful sometimes but this is not a very big problem.
For the construction, it is not bad either despite what repeat according to me, also I find has some places you can do a little better as for example here.
For the passage of Yoshi Haru passage was the most disappointing was my taste
Already because the traps are unpredictable, and this redo everything up here is pretty boring
Then some pallets are not pretty nice I take for example initially the koopas who looks crashpad walls and then also just before the boss the blocks are not a very good pallets.

Difficulty: Hard/Kaizo
Rating: 3 Stars
Verdict: Accepted, despite some should be reworked

Ahh... Long time i don't played Kaiso Hacks, so why not give it a try?

Well before i start i must say, Good Job! well this hack has tons of Custom Stuff and good levels, actually my problem is with errors that can be fixed veeery easy.

The OW well.... i know you used a non-authorized OW, but making a new OW really isn't is hard
You can just add paths in your OW and it will me much more nice.
Also i found an issue with the Windowing HDMA of the save box.Well i guess this is a problem with a patch you installed in your hack, you can check if there's a patch in your OW,the save box appears without any text, i heard the this who bugs with this HDMA are things on Channel 7, if you had find something change it to any other channel.
More help can be found in ASM & Related Topics if you still wan't put a Save feature in your hack, if not just remove the Save Prompt.

About the Levels themselves, well I liked how you made a lot of "no you don't" 1-Ups.
Also there's a few areas that is just, press B and →, i dunno if you know that with this i can "walk" in those holes.

Also oh god! this Green Switch palace is well... KAISO to find too :P

General: Remove this level with switch palace and put it inside a level and Done! You will fix the save message issue and the OMG and if i don't cleared the Switch issue. Two in one ya?And add a better OW.

Verdict: A bit unsure, but i will go with REJECTED, but i'm waiting for a update please.

Difficult:a few areas are hard but not KAISO, but the difficult of the whole thing is pretty obvious KAISO.

All right, the 1st room (of the 2nd level).

I like the general idea of the room, but something bothered me about it. In the beginning there was a springboard, and I didn't want to take any chances, and so I took it with me. When I reached the end of the 1st room, it turned out that I didn't need it at all. So why is the springboard there, though, when there is coin blocks already there? That was something I didn't understand. Otherwise, everything was good, and a lot of precision. That room I couldn't tell if it was extra hard, or easy Kaizo. All the room is all about precision.

2nd:

45 seconds to reach to the end, to move to the next room. Nothing much there, except that it took me a little bit to realize that I had to go fast for it.

3rd:

Just a run-and-get-the-PSwitch-and-go-back room. Nothing there. Easier than easy Kaizo.

4th:

Simple throw blocks to the ghost. I had to do it 9 times, and it's boring, and not kaizo. No jumping for me, and try to amp up the difficulty if Kaizo's what you're aiming at.

5th:

Halfway point. Nothing to see there.

6th:

I got there trying to figure out something and I got stuck here. Is there something that I'm missing? I'm very sure I did the switch at the beginning.. and what is the purpose of that flower and that upside down P-Switch? I don't know how to get to the P-Switch.

Until an update comes or someone tells me on how to pass to the next level, I'm going for a REJECTION for now.

In short: A rollercoaster on difficulty, points on custom graphics, and amp up and keep consistent on the difficulty. Not sure what you're trying to aim for.

It's not very clear in this part but a door appears above the ! block when a P-Switch (not the upside down one) is pressed.

Also, I want to point out that about half-way through the hack the music breaks in ZMZ (SNES9X).
