SM64 Importer 1.8.1S Release (Major Update, Scrolling Textures)

Originally posted by Skelux
Any more minor tweaks for 1.8.1? So far I'll just be fixing the gui for windows 7 and preventing loss of collision settings if the material file cant be accessed.

scrolling textures will sometimes scroll objects that dont have the texture or collision data.
btw, im still figuring out how you edited the importer through Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition or newer versions

It´s still not working. I can´t understand why.
I tried:

- A new Rom that was patched by the importer

- A new rom patched by me

- a rom that ued sent me and that works fine for him.

So i have no idea what the problem could be.

I think I may found one of the secret easter eggs. I click on enable fog while holding shift and a hidden message box pop up saying something about a football. Unfortunately I didn't get to read all of it through and I can't replicate it. It very interesting though.

Skelux, i reccommend you might want to start to incorporate tt64 into the importer.
toadstool 64 was created with the program adobe director if that helps you out at all. And yes, VL-Tone did confirm it on the channel comments.

When I enable extendes boundaries on my rom, Toad's Tool can't open it, coming up with the error "Not a valid SM64 Rom". I have expanded and patched everything necessary to use the importer and it works fine. Tried many different roms, all clean. Is anyone else having this problem?

Nope it's not just you, the same thing happens to me when I enable extended boundaries as well. I would just recommend working around it by enabling extended boundaries when you finish placing objects in TT64 until Skelux looks at it.
Happen with me ones when I imported a very large level with over 40 textures (way more then necessary) TT64 didn't load my level. I delete a few textures and it works just fine. I also had fog and custom background enable which may be part of the problem.

Oh hey thanks! It works now!
Found every single easter egg, it took 1 1/2 months to find

I can guarantee that you did not.

Well, I found some easter eggs simply by clicking on text, but I don't think I've found all of them yet. You could have programmed something very cryptic for all I know lol.

by clicking on all of the text on all of the tabs, or was that just 1/3 of all of them?

I guess it's time I threw out a hint - notice that the text box for the PPF patcher can be edited manually.
For the next obj import, why not incorporated the sm64 level replacer?

My suggestions:
1. RGB for Toxic Haze
2. Incorporate your model replacer

That's all.
Im having the texture stretch problem and the sm64_uv program cant handle it too to the fact it has over 3,200 triangles.
can someone please help :)

I tried dragging a 5,000 face .obj file into SM64_uv.exe and it just crashes. There's no other way to fix stretching textures, either #w{x(}

Let's hope Kinopio or Skelux somehow manage to fix this issue. It's really holding back on my modeling #w{:<}
